- Characters who use lightsabers in battle can use additional weapons.
- The game's combat system has been redesigned to become deeper and more complex.

- Disney announced that all figurines and Power Discs from previous Disney Infinity titles will be compatible with Disney Infinity 3.0 through the new improved Toy Box.
